Naturopathy is holistic health, incorporating evidence based and traditional medicine. As all aspects of health are considered, Rebecca will ask you questions relating to numerous body systems, as well as your lifestyle, diet, personal and family medical history.

If necessary, herbal medicine or supplementation may be required as part of the treatment.

WHY SHOULD I SEE A NATUROPATH?

Naturopath's can assist with a wide range of health conditions, whether it be a recent health concern or a long standing chronic condition. You can also see a Naturopath if you would like a general health and wellbeing check up, or a dietary assessment.

Rebecca promotes a completely judgemental-free space, and everyone is welcome.

CLIENT INFORMED CONSENT

Naturopathic Medicine focuses on the treatment and prevention of diseases by assessing the whole person in relation to their physical, mental, and emotional health. Treatment may include, but is not limited to, herbal medicine, nutritional medicine, pathology testing (external), physical and exercise recommendations, referrals to other practitioners if required, lifestyle counselling, flower essences, supplementation of herbs, vitamins and minerals. Adverse effects from Naturopathic Medicine may occur on rare occasions and this may include, but is not limited to, emotional release, aggravation of pre-existing symptoms and conditions through the natural process of healing, allergic or hypersensitive reactions to herbs and/or supplements, side effects due to some forms of treatment, including but not limited to herbal medicines and/or supplements.

I request and consent to Rebecca Harwood to treat myself as Rebecca sees fit, and I have discussed or have had the opportunity to discuss the nature and purpose of my Naturopathic care and I consent to this care offered to me. I do not expect Rebecca to be able to anticipate and explain all risks and complications and I rely on Rebecca to exercise good judgement during care. I authorise Rebecca to treat my condition through the use of Naturopathic methods and I understand that the results of this approach are not guaranteed. I understand that I am free to withdraw my consent and discontinue participation at any time.

My medical information and treatment notes will not be shared without my consent, unless there is an emergency, or my details are legally required to be disclosed to another health professional.

TERMS OF SERVICE

Rebecca Harwood and any other practitioners working for Rebecca agree to treat each patient to the best of their ability and always put the patients needs first. However, please be aware that healing and working out what is causing the health concerns can take time. Therefore commitment from both the practitioner and the patient is required for optimal results. It is normal for the healing journey to contain ups and downs, and it is important to continue through the whole process for successful outcomes, following the recommended treatment plan. Questions will be asked including, but not limited to, numerous body systems, personal and family medical history, lifestyle and diet, and there may be a need to conduct physical examinations, such as, but not limited to palpating (touching) the patient. Treatment may include a range of dietary, lifestyle, herbal and supplement recommendations. The herbs and supplements prescribed, can only be prescribed by this practitioner, and undesired results may result if using other similar products from elsewhere. Please be aware that there may be conditions that are beyond the practitioners control which will limit the ability to heal and therefore a full recovery may not be achieved.
